Head coach is just a place holder. Coordinators run the games.

Herman has not proven to be worth 6M a year but O do agree with you on your assessment of Alleva.

Yes - The idea that only .0000000001% of the population of the United States have the special skills and availability to run a college football program is insane.

LSU won with miles, who knew no defense, and was terrible on offense. At least O will give his OC ability to do his job....that is better than what we had

Saban is the greatest college football coach of all time. It's stupid to pay Saban money for someone not named Saban.

How come the great coaches' coordinators end up coaching all over the NFL and college and rarely enjoy the same degree of success as their former bosses?

Because they're not great team managers. They're worth their wieght in gold as coordinators though. This is a huge shift in the coach landscape and LSU is going to be the school to start it. Have a little faith.
