Hire a Head Coach at a reasonable price to manage the program and recruit and pay big money to elite coordinators to win the games.

This could become a nationwide trend imo.

Hopefully. These coaches have too much leverage. Have one good season and they can bend the university over

Thought crossed my mind too. Head coach should be a figure head anyway if all the proper planning and prep is done during the week.

Until your coordinators get cherry picked every year for HC jobs at other schools and you have to start over.

Alleva is an incompetent pussy. When the pressure is on, he caves.

That only works if the head coach doesn't have complete control and isn't stubborn.

But, the HC not having complete control is a disaster.

So, no. That doesn't work.

frick. No.

If you're going to be spending the same money regardless, just as soon give it to the head coach and lock him up for 5 years instead of coordinators who will bolt if they're worth a shite. Pay Herman $6M and you don't need an elite OC.

Alleva is such a frickstick.
