I know for a fact that not a single currently employed coach will answer a question in the next 2 months
But if you are making over 4 million, at one of the best Universities in the country, can recruit a super high quality individual to your school, compete for national championships, are from California and currently reside in Palo Alto...you prolly don't want to step into Baton Rouge.

If I'm a California guy, and I'm at my alma mater and we are among the best of our power 5 conference.. currently ranked 7th.. I think I would laugh at the question of taking another coaching job.

I haven't watched Stanford play in a long while but I'm curious to know what is he doing right? Everyone is saying he's just like Miles but he has a true heisman contender and it seems like the team is doing pretty well. He cant be that bad right?

We don't need his kind here anyways!! Need a coach that will open up an offense not 3yards and a cloud of dust!

Why would any HC under contract say he was interested in another job in week 5 of the season even if he was?
(Not that LSU would have any interest in Shaw.)

Every coach in Anerica is gonna be asked and they all are gonna say no. You think he would say "sure, why not"

You don't want David Shaw, he is Les Miles junior.

He might not fit in here anyway.

it would be career suicide for any head coach to say they had interest in an open job during the 5th week of the season
I know. I love the notion that, unless these current coaches say something like, 'frickin' A, when can I start?' it means they have ZERO interest in the job.

He will never leave Stanford. For fricks sake people, the man is an alumn

DO NOT WANT. If we go further west than Houston, get Wittingham or Patterson

Dad coached at Stanford.
Dad was also born here in LA, coached our Saints for a season. David is only 44 and is in his 6th different organization. He is certainly a possibility and his comments today, (whether true or false), don't change anything.

Miles wasn't that bad either, and he had a heisman candidate himself.
Read my post on the last page. Shaw has had trouble developing a consistently good offense at Stanford. He has had some great defenses. Most of his losses come at the scores of 13-17 and the like. I.E., his offense is what's letting him down, kind of similar to the guy we just canned, right?
Also, you have to understand he's going up against the PAC-12. Not exactly the best conference under his tenure. USC has been a clown show since the sanctions. Oregon lost Chip Kelly. Who is there to even really challenge a team like Stanford? Put Stanford in the SEC West under David Shaw and see how "well" he does.

He is Trent Johnson, Les Miles 2.0. He also does not want to compete with the SEC opponents week and week out because he runs a similar power offense as Les.
It works in the Pac12, but not here.
