Oregon is BY FAR the better job. I can't say for sure what Mullen would so, but he'd be an idiot to turn that job down.

Honestly, I think its a bit out of his league and wouldn't expect him to get a better job offer while at MSU.

Yeah, that would be pushing it. These salaries are getting insane.

I almost feel like this Duck is trolling now. 6 million for Dan Mullen?

That's the benchmark for the job...not Mullen per se. Honestly, at point I won't be surprised by anything.

What do you mean benchmark for the job? Oregon is going to just pay 6 million no matter who it is? Smart....

Mullen actually recruits better on the defensive side of the ball than offense.

That being said, your AD is out of his mind if he thinks a new coach that hasn't proven he can win at Oregon is worth 5+ million a year.

Bro. Seriously. Dan tried to get the Florida job (twice), the Miami job, and the Penn State job. Those are just the ones that are commonly known in coaching circles.

He wants out, but he wants the right opportunity

Dan Mullen wants out of Starksville so bad....

Oregon - "Let's pay him 6 million a year"

Something doesn't add up.

I am not saying he's getting 6 million. That figure is what Oregon is willing to pay.

Btw, this search might be one if not the most tight lipped I've witnessed. There are those betting on Chip, Fleck and Mullen. We could get Taggart or Harsin.

Lol. You're pretty funny man. I'll give you that.

Saban didn't "try" to get any job. If he wanted the Texas job, he could've had it (twice).

Word in Starkville is that Mullen turned down Oregon's request to interview.

But he wants out of Starksville so badly though.

Maybe Oregon should throw 7 million at him.

Dan Mullen to Oregon isn't as big of stretch as you make it out to be. He probably isn't coming. I personally would like him but at the end of the day the b list guys in Harsin and Taggart will take us in a new direction.

Oregon isn't as big of a job as you make it out to be. After all Mullen would rather stay in "Starksville" than take the Oregon job.
