LSU wasn't going to hire him anyway because he'd never coached here at some point. We have children running our athletic department, y'all.

Well, they went after a coach who was looking to take a step up. We went after a coach that was already at that level at a School that has won a BCS championship and played in the first CFP. Also, his agent isn't Sexton.

Yeah, I don't think that's a credible Twitter account. Only has about 150 followers and no links to any website or anything.

Good temporary hire for them if true.

I wonder how long it lasts if the Texas job opens up in the near future.

@GuyNamedJason: Report out, no major source yet, that Tom Herman has accepted the Georgia job...which means this was calculated and planned for a bit.

I don't get the love for Herman, at least as HC for a top program. He's been a HC at Houston for one year. He's had a really good year. Sumlin was pretty good as well. That is not panning out. I think it's a gamble to hire a guy at a major program without much experience as a HC.

Clearly this is not a good time to go coach shopping, and Alleva recognized that.
