I can't see him taking marching orders from a HC very well.

Recruiting sucks and if any of the cheating he did at Oregon got exposed he may not be able to go back

Chip has a way with QB's. Think of the upside in his career if he can improve him and the offense.

Bortles is far from terrible. He has shown major flashes. He has the potential to be elite with the right OC and shrink. Chip fits A. If only we can find him B.

Go Jags

I think it's only a matter of time before he gets hired as a HC in the NFL again.

Those that follow him and know about him have always said that he wants to stay in the NFL.

I mean coordinators serve 1 year all the time. It's not like he has a list of open college jobs to pick from right now. He needs to bolster the NFL resume if he wants another HC gig there. NFL OC job doesn't impair his ability to get a college HC job again.

Guess he has to do what he feels will make him happy. He only has so many lives in the NFL though.

There have been successful CFB coaches that hated recruiting. Have to get in where you fit in. It may turn out that he doesn't fit in the NFL, despite his best efforts.
