Thats SOP in these things, but it didn't happen... peculiar to say the least.

Not peculiar when the BOS and Alleva told Jimbo to give them some time to deal with FKING. The firing of Les Miles was inevitable and they just asked Jimbo to bide time. They squashed the notion in the public that it was "never happening" but thats where people are very wrong. It was an 11th hour intervention at the A&M game by a fifth of the BOS members and FKING. They told Jimbo all along we still want you, just have to deal with the politics. So, since he wants the job, he shut up, continued to coach FSU and waited for the phone to ring.

Just like Ogeron, this is Fishers dream job.

The only player irreplaceable for next year is Adams. Every other spot has substantial talent behind them

And strangely enough, I feel VERY confident aranda will have them playing well by the meat of our schedule. Even if the experience isn't there.

DBs will be great, MLB is White, will hurt to lose DL, but we have some talented freshmen, Corey Thompson at OLB will be awesome in this defense.

We'll be fine with these kids in another year of Aranda's system. They'll be awesome.

Now, if we lose to Aranda to Texas and Tom Herman, I will has the sad.

Welcome home, Jimbo. Let the championships commence.

Does everyone believe that the combination of Jimbo and Aranda can beat a Saban coached Alabama team on a consistent basis, not trying to be a homer, it's a real question.

I think that is an elite DC and an elite OC and we have top 5 talent.

If that can't compete with Saban regularly, nothing will.

Consistent is strong. But I like those frickin odds better than just about any other reasonable tandem.

It's not about beating them more than the beat us, at this point. It's about beating them at least 1/3 of the time, or something around there. If you beat them, you're going to the playoff. Saban is on another level, and no one will beat him 50/50. I have to think Jimbo would have been able to score more than 10 this year.

No team or coach can consistently beat saban. Accept that.

But I guaran-damn-tee you that jimbo and aranda would have won last Saturday. He will win SOME

Even O is pumped about the possibility of Jimbo being HC.

That's your first reaction? Douchebag. All the hate for O is such a joke and petty. Shouldn't you be protesting the election somewhere? You're hating on a dude who's only mistake was accepting the call when we needed him. I'd love to see Fisher as our next coach, but man I can see nothing but appreciation for anything Coach O has done for LSU.
