Well, at least Herman and Fisher are out, only Chip Kelly and maybe Petrino are in play if O doesn't work.

People are so high on having something different that they're just ready to buy in to something mediocre.

Y'all are stupid. Nick Saban is a genius coach and has brilliant assistants. If we bring in a coach who has nothing to offer in X's and O's coaching, he will not beat Saban and that is what it takes to win the SEC. With Coach O, we will never be better than 2nd place in the SEC until Saban is gone. I know for some that's enough but LSU is capable of so much more.

O actually has a coaching tree with Hugh Freeze as his lone Charlie Brown Christmas branch

So, even his poor little Charlie Brown coaching tree is more successful than Saban's?

Posted this in another thread. I'll add Ole Miss. The numbers are the team records. This is not that impressive

Notre Dame-loss 9-4
Utah-Win 5-7
Oregon St-Win 7-6
Cal-Win 1-11
Stanford-Win 11-3
Colorado-Win 4-8
UCLA-Loss 10-3
Fresno St-Win 11-2

LSU

Missouri-Win 2-5
Southern Miss-Win who cares?
Ole Miss-Win 3-4

Now thats crossing the line. I support coach O if he finishes strong but not Ensigmer as OC.

You can take this one off. He left the team and didn't stick around for the bowl. That was a Helton win.

Nope.

Ole Miss was a "good win" for Alabama. So it's a "good win" for LSU

How does that make sense? If O is letting his coordinators coach and staying out of their way, then, doesn't Ensigmer deserve the majority of the credit for the offensive success? If O finishes strong and you're willing to settle on him why don't we settle on Steve too?

You think it's a coincidence that Nick Daban has never had a really Bad DC? Or Urban Meyers has never had a bad OC.

Great coaches know their Xs and Os at least on 1 side of the ball. Teams and coaches need identities.

Name me the three best HCs in the game today. Nm - I'll do it for you...

Saban
Meyer
Harbaugh

Those guys are good no matter who thier coordinators are. You know why? Because they know x's and o's and can truly run the show if they need to. They are all brilliant tactioners.

The day of the CEO HCs are gone. Bowden, paterno, tressel...all gone. Look around you.

One thing is, isn't it much easier to find one elite coordinator than it is to find two? O would always have to have 2 ELITE guys leading the strategy. Saban could have me as the DC and they would still be unreal.

Those are just facts
