He just signed a long term extension with Boise..so I don't think it'll be anytime soon.

I'd rather Gary Patterson.

Boise coaches have terrible track records at jobs they leave for in recent history and I frickING LOVE aggressive, disciplined defense Patterson brings. Reminds me exactly of Saban.

Patterson's defense is predicated on cramming as much speed on the field as he possibly can.

Kind of like how Miami did it in the 80s..he takes big safeties and moves them down to linebacker and takes big linebackers and moves them to DE, moves the big DE's inside to DT and so on.

They play fast and hit hard. I'm impressed every time I watch them.

yep and with the amount of talent and speed he would have at his disposal at LSU it would be scary.

Next year is his year. Boise could possibly start the preseason at No. 2. They should go undefeated with their cupcake schedule. If they go undefeated yet again and don't get to the NC game after starting the season ranked No. 2, Peterson will most likely leave.

Boise State plays Virginia Tech and Oregon State next year.

If they go undefeated they'll have been tested, I think.

I would say he has a real job. 2 wins in BCS games and 2 unbeaten seasons and an 12-1 season. I think that is a great job and doesnt need to go anywhere.

Just because the school he is at isnt in a BCS conference doesnt mean its not less of a job or not a real job.

Yeah, except for his occasional 6-6 showing. (See TCU)

THat and he has a fricktarded offense.

If you ask me, Petersen is the more impressive of the two.

real job meaning a chance at a MNC in a big time conference and with a paycheck equaling quadruple what he makes or ever could make at Boise.

He has a chance at a MNC, he has 2 BCS wins. They will get some breaks in ranking now. That and they have scheduled Va Tech and Oregon State.

They get through next year undefeated and there are not two big conference teams undefeated, he will get in the big game. However, that doesn't mean Boise can match an offer from a big time, storied program.

Oregon State I'll give you but Virginia Tech has won 2 of the last 3 ACC championships and 3 of the last 6.

Has anyone considered he doesnt want to leave? I am sure they take care of him well in Boise. Nike takes care of them. And finally, he reminds me of Mark Few, content with where he is, winning games, and building something that has a sturdy base. Why go somewhere where he may not have a chance to succeed, the admin at Boise will let him have the world right now.

I think he has family issues that makes him even more content to stay at Boise.

Yes.

He has a good situation in Boise and his family is happy, don't expect him to move until his kids are older.
