Can't see it...penn st needs a media savvy guy with their PR nightmare

CK is probably the least media savvy coach in football

Also, I am so confident that penn state won't hire Dan Mullen that I would cut my right ear off if they did. No way an elite name brand program like penn state hires Dan frickin Mullen

highly doubt it but crazier things have happened. This is only the beginning for Oregon. I dont think he will leave especially since him and phil knight are close. they are also currently building a 41 million dollar 6 story football headquarters on top of all the world class facilities they already have. Penn st couldnt touch oregon when it comes to the support he would get. He has all the resources he needs here no one could match that except maybe oklahoma state.

Phil Knight > T. boone pickens

This is my thought. Chip is starting to get the type of athletes Oregon has never had, especially the amount of them signing year after year. With some more help on the defensive line they will eventually get there.

Didn't I just say that? In so many words. You forget who you're talking too I've been following the Ducks almost as long as you have been alive.

Chip has a personality like Saban, and the boosters will put up with him as long as he wins. But I know from a long-time Oregon booster I used to work with Chip has rubbed a lot of them them wrong way. But, I don't see Chip leaving Oregon unless the program starts to slide (or there's a scandal) at which point he could lose support rapidly.

Seems that gimmicky offense didn't work well in the Big 10 for RR and may be the same for Kelly. Just a bad fit...

the big10 has been running the spread option for over a decade. OSU ran it in 2005 and 2006 on their way to 2 Big10 titles

It's comments like these that show how ignorant people really are. Michigan's offense was #6 in America last year in total offense. Their offense was really good, it was their defense that was his undoing along with the other issues that started the day he was hired.

The Spread offense is anything but gimmicky. If you think so then you obviously know nothing about offensive football and nothing about the game in general. If the spread offense is so gimmicky then why do so many people use it across the country? Why are the majority of the top offense's in college football every year spread offense's if they are just gimmicky? Why have so many teams won Championships running the spread if it's just "gimmicky"???
