His teams seem to have a habit of falling apart after a tough loss or 2.

1. Bill Cowher. Yeah, we should make a run at him. He may not want it but NOBODY would turn their nose up and sneer at the LSU job.

2. Rich Rodriguez. He's a winner.

3. Tommy Tuberville. Yeah, a lot of you guys hate him but he can coach his arse off.

Spurrier is too old and doesn't seem to have the fire-in-the-belly anymore. Saban? HELL no.

Why are so many people in love with this guy?
Why would he be better in college that Wanstedt, Bill Calahan, or Charlie Weis?

Just because he's an NFL coach, doesn't mean he will be a good college coach.

EXAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACTLY.

If Les Miles leaves, and I am about 40% sure he will, LSU is going to get someone that is a hot name in coaching, like a Jim Leavitt, Greg Schiano, etc, not some NFL reject that has never coached a down in college.

Does Crowton have a chance? When they hired him, I thought this provided at least a nice backup plan

I don't see Spurrier being here any longer than Saban or Miles were (if Miles leaves...) so I'd rather Del Rio.

If we can get him, Steve Spurrier would be the best choice. He's proven he can win in the SEC AND I believe LSU would be his last stop as a head coach. He's not going back to the NFL and he's not going back to his alma mater -- Florida. I believe we would he would stay at LSU until he retires.

While he has indicated that he isn't interested in LSU in the past, I believe the Gamecocks poor performance this season may have changed his mind. Just a gut feeling, but I think he might be open to an offer IF MILES LEAVES.

My prayer is that Les will stay.

which may be in only 2-3 years

Why doesn't he get any blame for that. His team has completely collapsed down the stretch.

I hope Miles stays, but if he leaves, the LAST thing LSU needs is a tired, almost wahsed up retread who will likely retire in 3 years.

1. Tubberville - this is a business. I'd put all my dislike aside (which has thinned out over the years anyway) to have the guy. He is a helluva coach and he should have left Auburn and its backstabbing administration after 2004 in spite.

2. SOS - 63 ain't that old and he's got nowhere near the talent in Columbia that we have here. Imagine what he could do with this offense?

3. Rodriguez - I wasn't sold at first, but have warmed up. The guy is an offensive genius and everyone is mimicing him.

LSU Crazy knows what's up.

In no order, I'd be happy with any of the following:

Chris Petersen
Norm Chow
Brian Kelly
Mike Leach
Steve Spurrier
Bo Pelini
Jim Grobe
Paul Johnson
Ron English
Gus Malzahn
Nick Saban
Bud Foster
Gene Chizik
Dan Mullen
Will Muschamp

Rodriquez I think would do a great job but I think he has a 1.5 million buy out clause in his contract.

If we were to go after an assistant coach I would def. like the sound of Will Muschamp being the head coach.
