No one can list a legit reason why Auburn is a better job than Texas because there isn't one.
1) Texas is in shambles, Auburn is in the National Championship Game.
2) Auburn is in the best conference in college football.
3) Gus Malzahn loves Auburn, and so do his wife and kids.
4) Gus Malzahn has history with Auburn.
5) Auburn, thanks to the surrounding states, and Alabama to an extent, is a recruiting hotbed.

Do you need anymore?

Say the same for Bama.

The AU job and Bama job are equal jobs.

He's going to basically own Auburn if he wins this year.

1.Auburn was in shambles worse than Texas just last year when he tool over, don't think that would be a reason for him not to go.

2.I'll give you that one, but he would have a much easier path to the NC at Texas.

3.Not enough reason for him to stay.

4.Pat Dye has a history with Alabama, not sure that matters.

5.True, but Texas is a recruiting hotbed as well.

Texas has own way more damn games than Auburn. Overall, and in recent times.

Has it really come to this. Bama fans making the case for Gus to go after that high school coach and his Micky mouse offense wins one game against their team.

We've come a long way from the he will be a failure and canned in 2-3 years group think.

Good lord most LSU fans are so obsessed with Alabama it's ridiculous, thread is started about MAlzahn, Auburn, and Texas and there are like 15 posts in this threads from LSU fans about Alabama.

Meltdown year 3.

You have been given legit reasons...wether or not you recognize them is a diff story.

Smart to be worried...Bama cant beat good AU teams.

I think Texas is like number 2 or 3 on the all time wins list.

Gus will leave Auburn eventually. But it won't be this year.

Happy?

Y'all are gonna have to wait out the Bus for a little while.

I wonder why people think we're "scared" of Gus. It couldn't possibly be threads like this, could it?

1. He can get the same money at Auburn (Texas won't offer more than we will match.)

2. He's in the National Championship at Auburn

3. He gets to play in the best Football Conference

4. He's already comfortable in Auburn (been there for 4 of the past 5 years)

5. His daughter is at Auburn

6. He already has players that fit his system

7. He doesn't have to rebuild

I could probably come up with more...

If they take a thread about how Texas is a better job than Auburn and think it means that Alabama fans are scared of Auburn then they would be pretty dumb.

Fired. Not run out of town. Tubbs stayed in Auburn for a year after he was fired, still has a lake house on Lake Martin, and sent his son to Auburn.

Chizik still lives in Auburn.

Dye still lives in Auburn.

I can think of one really good reason.

Expectations are much lower at Auburn. Win 8-9 games, and beat Bama at least half the time, job security for life.

At Texas you have to deal with all the egos which surround the program. Hell they might even be worse than us, which takes some doing.
