2. He's in the National Championship at Auburn

4. He's already comfortable in Auburn (been there for 4 of the past 5 years)

If they take a thread about how Texas is a better job than Auburn and think it means that Alabama fans are scared of Auburn then they would be pretty dumb.

Fired. Not run out of town. Tubbs stayed in Auburn for a year after he was fired, still has a lake house on Lake Martin, and sent his son to Auburn.

I can think of one really good reason.
Expectations are much lower at Auburn. Win 8-9 games, and beat Bama at least half the time, job security for life.
At Texas you have to deal with all the egos which surround the program. Hell they might even be worse than us, which takes some doing.
