Doubt Saban coaching the rival team in the same state would be a reason for him to want to stay.

Why not? As a general rule, Auburn coaches have been less than terrified of him.

Also with his coaching track record he doesn't seem to loyal, he stayed at his last job for one year.

Meh, he knew he has to take a head coaching gig somewhere. I don't blame him for the move he made.

I have read a lot about coaches moving around a lot when they are young until they land in a prime job on this board lately. I would say Auburn certainly is a prime job.

He just wants to be held tight and told that maybe, just maybe, Gus will be gone soon.

No legit reason for anyone to stay in Tuscaloosa over Texas. You see what I did there?

I think Gus should do what he wants to do. I don't think he owes us anything as Barners nor do I think we owe him anything.

Having said that I think he stays.

About half of the SEC programs are "destination" jobs. If he can succeed at Auburn there is no reason to think he'd leave.

No one can list a legit reason why Auburn is a better job than Texas because there isn't one.

Alabama is one of the best jobs in college football.

Uh he has his team in place vs a rebuilding job?

A team he is taking to a Natty right now, the vast majority of which will be back for next year?

Auburn can pay him as much as Texas will be willing to pay as well.

GD Gump fans are scared.

This thread is serving as a perfect illustration as to why we enjoyed screwing with the Bammers so much last week.

Telling them Saban was leaving for Texas? Mass panic.

The Auburn fans in this thread are just telling the OP a variation of "Whatever, dude" and just moving on.

Do you think Alabama is a better job than Texas? I think not.

Gus ain't going anywhere and isn't even considering it. Unlike bama's coach who had to think about it.

Gumps just don't understand that AU is a better job than bama, but it is. I know it doesn't compute and makes no sense to a gump, but that is just the way it is. Head coaches do not leave AU voluntarily. Ever.

So basically you admit to stereotyping an entire group of people based on the comments of a few people in this thread?

That's cause Bama fans were legitimately scared that Saban was leaving. It was their defense mechanism.

Auburn fans know it makes zero sense for a coach to leave the year after he takes his team to the NC.

I'm such an evil person. Pray for me.

I'll give you a green thumb to bribe my way into your good graces.

Well, maybe not the whole fan base but you certainly belong in that category.
