tell me that oregon is taking the same risk.

he meant by playing a major OOC game first game of the season. Not overall schedule.

I heard, I think on WWL in an interview with the guy from TigerBait, that it was only having 6 home games that Les was pissed about...

in the FIRST game they are assuming the same risk as LSU by playing a quality opponent in the FIRST game of the season that could lead to a loss or ,in Oregon's case, WILL lead to a loss.

i dont care about the rest of Oregon's schedule relative to the risk assumed by both teams in playing one another in the FIRST game of the season.

scheduling Oregon was fricking brilliant. they're over rated as hell, they'll be in everyone's top 3 (even though they lose 11 starters), and LSU is gonna stomp their arse on a huge stage.

LSU will be number 1 starting in week 2

So the big, bad Miles, who thinks that the highest ranked SEC team has a God-given right to play in the championship game, wants to play more schools from the Little Sisters of the Poor?

two things:

1) the schedule in '10 was effing brilliant including the placement of the bye week and buffer games. after wins at UF and vs bama they put rent a wins. awesome. vs anyone else we would've lost.

2) do to WVU next yr what has been done to us numerous times. pull out and postpone. we have been suckers for years with scheduling letting teams pull out for sure tv dates postpone us and so forth. it's time to pay some of that forward.

i'm a little afraid of this game being the 1st game of the year. it not being a home game doesn't worry me.

oregon is going to be thinking about some SEC revenge for the next 8 mos.

I don't think scheduling Oregon or WVU was stupid

What was stupid was agreeing to play them both away from Baton Rouge in the same damn year...despite the fact that the game in Dallas will be a virtual home crowd

Hey jackarse......no body said little sisters of the poor

BTW $abun manipulated the schedule here at LSU and even more so at bama.

Both Les and sabun seem to recognize how hard it is to navigate the SEC much less ooc top25 teams. Especially when you consider how much easier other conference teams paths are to the MNC

I dont like playing two OOC games against major BCS conferences opponents, both of which are away from BR.

Love it. If LSU is worth a damn, they should be wins. If not, then LSU obviously doesn't have the ability to compete for a national championship.
Two BCS opponents is fantastic. Mo downside, it gives national exposure, prepares the team for the SEC and helps the SOS

also increases the amount of injuries playing against a great opponent right out the gates. spose to ease it on in, not just pull it out and ram it in sideways brochacho

Nah, we have all summer and plenty of film to prepare for their offense, and they have zero film and no clue what our offense will look like under our new OC.

It is the total schedule that should concern us, not any one opponent. We need to play some creampuffs to rest guys, give others experience, and to give us the best shot at the national title.

Kinda like the regular Big Ten schedule.

Not to be a nerd, but does anyone have financial insight on how much the AD is going to make off this game, in comparison to what it would have made/cost (paying Oregon) to come to BR?
