LSU opens with a win, they'll be in the drivers seat and should be ranked #1

People shouldn't forget the recruiting aspects of this game.

The caller went on to say that Les enjoys competition but that he felt the SEC team schedule was hard enough.

This would be inline with how $abun feels about it. IMO
Saban is on record saying he likes having one big OOC game at the beginning of the year to keep the team focused during summer workouts. I think the UNC game in Atlanta last year and the Oregon game in Jerry World this year are great for the program and players. The problem with our schedule was the home and home with WVU. If we are going to play in these big season opening neutral site games against a ranked OOC opponent, we don't need another road game against an OOC BCS team to go along with the SEC schedule of Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Miss St, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida and Kentucky. We should pull a Va Tech and reschedule that WVU road trip for a later date and add a home game against a C-USA type team.

Our thinking should be "it was stupid of Oregon to schedule LSU"
