1 great season, 1 good season, 3 mediocre to poor seasons. And last time I checked Miles has gotten LSU into the SECCG game 2 times in 3 years.

It was Fine for the time, but Miles raised the bar, by bringing consistant 10-11 win seasons, and not losing to out of conference cupcakes. I see no greatness in Saban, no sign of him dominating the SEC like Spurrier did in the 90's.

are you serious? So you want a coach who can dominate the SEC? ok well go dig up bear bryant, wait, he wouldnt be able to either. Have you even thought of the coaches in this league? No one will dominate, and i hardly call zero championships up to this point as dominate . again, not comparing miles and saban. but you cant seem to get that through ur head. and as far as raising the bar? please tell me how the bar can be higher than a NATIONAL TITLE????

Miles hasn't even coached here 5 years, and he's heading to the SECCG for the 2nd time in 3 years.

dude i am not saying miles hasnt done a great job here, tell me where i said that. the fact is we arent trying to decide who we want. we are talking about if we would hire saban back. There is NO POINT to compare miles to saban!

I like miles..remember i went to the march for miles...were you there? I think he has done an amazing job here in these 3 years...but thats NOT WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HERE! Go find yourself a miles basher to talk to ok. thats where it seems you would fare a little better.

I won't mention his name. About Saban, I pointed out several posts ago, he looks terrible at Alabama, and aside from the 1 great season at LSU, he cannot go a season without losing at least 3 games.

alright im done with this argument. if you want to argue with 2 sec titles and a national title in 5 years go right ahead but i'm not going to. I would think that fans from a school with only 1 national title b4 this last one in its history would appreciate what it means to win it all a little more than you do. but oh well. some people just have to live in stupidity..

I prefer calling it living in reality. Saban will never again coach in another MNC game, IMO.

I don't hate him, but we have a better coach who is more consistant and honest. He wins more and doesn't lose to scrubs like UAB and UL- monroe. I'm sorry but I think Saban can build a program but he doesn't get the most out of his players.

This is the DUMBEST post I've ever read. He lost to UAB his first year, those weren't his recruited players. They were Dinardo's. Hell he never really got into using a whole starting 22 of his own players. He won a National Title with alot of Dinardo's. Imagine what he could do with his own players when they're all now Seniors. Miles is not more consistent with LSU's talent if can't win 11 games every year then your a coaching failure and this is shown by the the amount of SEC titles he has and National Titles. BUT he will be gone by Monday so bye Les Miles

It's really not about hate for me, it's about lack of respect.

When he was at Miami had turned down the an invitation from the President of the United States because he had training camp. Are you kidding me... Do you really think that what you have to do is more important than what the leader of the free world has on his plate? I can't stand Blanco, but I would accept a invitation out of respect for the position she is in.

Then the well documented "I will not be the coach at Alabama"

Then publicly taking the credit for LSU's Sugar bowl win. Classless

Then the Coonass joke - I was born and raised in south Louisiana and am pround to call myself a coonass, but for an outsider to imply that we are all funny talking ditch digging coonasses is classless. He made fun of the same people that supported him more than anyone..

Then while he was saying how much he loves LSU he was busy trying to take every part of it with him to Bama: Jimbo, Moffit, hell even admin staff. Someone who "loves LSU" would not try to tare it down to build up another program.

One of those buy themselves is no big deal, but if you combine them I loose a TON OF RESPECT and I find it hard to accept him back if I don't respect him.

There is no question that he is a top 10 college coach, but it's clear we can win with other coaches and possibly win more.
I won't try and make light of winning the SEC twice or the MNC, but think about this..

If Hawaii had not won the night of the SECCG we would not have that crystal ball.
What is the only team in the history of the SEC to win the Conf with 3 losses.. LSU in 2001.
Things fell right for LSU those years along with being a good team.

What I'm trying to say there are other coaches out there that can put us in position and hopefully things fall right.

There are other coaches out there that do it respectfully...
