Very Very interesting and makes perfect sense. The recruits clearly think something is up per the Hootie decommit, and now even rumors that C-rob is not a lock. They are all keeping their options open so they are hearing this too, I assume from their agents.

Just keep it up Texas, we have 6 0r 7 Five Stars within reach.

in Texas's boosters eyes he's a candidate

they will probably try to open up a dialogue if they don't have a coach by Jan 3rd

at which point Saban will almost certainly say no

which I think at this Texas is already prepared for and is looking in to other big fish they could possibly catch

How exactly have I lost my mind on this? I have never ever insisted that Saban was leaving. I have only stated that Saban is a candidate. Anyone with half a brain should know that he is a candidate for the Texas job.

Because you seem to be grasping at straws like everyone else. Anyone can come up with some kind of fiction to tie anything together. It's not hard. Especially when you can cite "conversations" that there is no proof of existence.

Bottom line is this. Miss Terry herself came out and said that they were retiring in Tuscaloosa and that was it. Period. Knowing what little bit about women that I know, there is no way she is going to let Nick make her out to be a complete fool for saying that. Especially not just a few short weeks later or even a month later. That alone told me that he is staying, period. Not to mention the other bazillion factors that would make it stupid for him to go that has been discussed here ad nauseum.

Hell, in your first post in this thread you asked "why do I believe that?" Like even in your head you know it sounds crazy. Which it does to people that don't have a burning desire for him to be gone. I don't think you are a rantard like some of these idiots, but we all have our moments, and you seem to be having one on this topic.

IMHO of course.

Sorry, but Saban is a candidate until someone not named Saban is hired by UT.

I really don't think Nick would take any other job (including NFL) besides the UT job, so if they hire someone else, I would imagine Nick retires in Alabama and you won't need to worry about this again.

Dude, the only place where Saban is a candidate is right here, on this board, with one group of fans. Not in Vegas, not even in Austin, Texas. Most of them are yanking your chain. A few are desperate tards. You can laugh at both.

F you....

This will be representative of Chicken's response to the masses when the dust settles.

Bama fans represented at the onset of the video also (also with deeper implied themes)

This will be the great unifier and take the place of the "It's happening" GIF

Not that the Big-12 would chip in any money, but how important is Saban to Texas, not just in terms of the Longhorn Football Program, but in terms of Big-12 stabilization?

What a CNS to Texas hire hypothetically could mean on a UTexas, Big-12, Tex-OU rivalry, fending off ATM's in-state rise, and even to Texas High School Football 'toughening back up' from 7-on-7 to some smashmouth via trickle-down effect, can't be understated..

Much like Seigel selling Vegas to the Mafia, long before they could even fathom his full vision, the Mob focused on 1M he owed, when Bugsy was promoting Billions longhaul..

Could the Texas BigWigs be pennywise and pound foolish to buy a secondary option HC for 5M+(even if an NFL or current BCSCG HC), with no set guarantee what it gets them? When 10M could all but guarantee the success they truly desire.

It sounds plausible that Texas is going to offer a 100 million dollar guaranteed contract that would promise Saban 90 million in exchange for not coaching if he retired after year one?

There is no way that sounds plausible to anyone.

It's a southern thing that if you are from the south, you know damn well what it means. The difference in miss, mrs, ms, etc is unnecessary when addressing someone affectionately as opposed to formally. It's like the customers that come in my store have referred to my grandmother as Miss Mary Ann for 30 years even though she was married for almost all of them before my grandfather died.

And really, I've never heard anybody give a shite until you coonasses decided to attempt to use it to make fun of someone.

I am certainly finding humor in the whole "Saban to Texas" talk on this board. Few LSU fans on this board actually believe Saban is now going to Texas, many LSU fans on this board hope he does and all LSU fans are enjoy watching the Bama fans continue to come here to tell us how wrong we are about it. If the Bama fans are so convinced he is staying why do you feel the need to defend it? Carry on with the entertainment.

You can't bullshite a bullshitter. Just sayin.

I find it fun to point out ignorance though, like the whole miss terry thing. It's a good thing I don't post on the tiger rant. That would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

So why hasn't Texas made an offer etc? They are waiting until after the season is over and they are going to make another run at Satan. Theses guys are not used to hearing neaux. Which is my they are such obnoxious pricks btw.

This saban to Texas stuff is the gift that keeps on giving.

I get the feeling you're the ignorant one on that one. And you still don't get it.

I didn't see his mockery as making fun of the southern custom of addressing ladies as "Miss So-and-so". We do that here.

What I took from it was that he was laughing at you guys for calling her that as if you knew her personally, like she was an old family friend.
