Alabama said their plane was not leaving without Saban. Essentially they threw the bank at him and put a gun to his head. No was NOT going to be their answer. Saban caved.

Every coach is going to say this same thing at this point and time of the season since every coach is dialed in to their current team.

Idk why these reporters and analysts ask these coaches about another job right now knowing they will all give the same exact answer like “I’m not focused on that” or “I love this university and team” .

Or best of all “ I’m not interested in coaching anywhere else”.

I am highly trained and certified in Coach Speak.

Allow me to translate:

"Make me an offer. We were planning to move to a larger house in Baton Rouge. My family misses Crawfish season."

You're welcome

If Aranda became Woodward's target and he could not be lured back to LSU then we are in worse shape than anyone is willing to acknowledge.

That's almost exactly what Rhule said before he left Baylor.

That response is more of a maybe than a no.

"I'd love to come to LSU!"

Do people expect these guys to announce that getting them to come would be easy? Sounds like a good way to shoot yourself in a foot for a smaller payday.

From every convo I've had with the man and people close to him, I would be surprised if he was a "no". Although it's been 2 years, he absolutely loved BR and didn't want to leave the city. He wants his kids to be settled somewhere, so maybe he feels like that's in Waco, but I think he would come back if that's who SW wanted.

That's not a no, dude. That's a "I haven't been offered or if I have I haven't agreed to anything officially yet."

Exact quote minus the "Baylor" when he was DC at LSU and we kept throwing money at him because people like Jimbo trying to hire him away...
