Per 247Sports:

Baylor coach Dave Aranda addressed speculation linking his name to a possibility for LSU or USC's current head coaching opening on Monday, slamming the door on a return to the Tigers. Aranda spent several seasons at defensive coordinator for LSU before taking the job at Baylor after the 2019 season.

"It’s sad when those days, like last week, when those days come," Aranda said. "You don’t ever want to see that….I love it here and my family loves it here. Baylor has been everything I’ve wanted it to be."

I dont see a "No" anywhere in there....

Tomlin, was a no

This.... not so much. Thats typical deflection right there. If anything, that makes me feel like there may actually be a better chance than I expected

Didn't see the press conference, but from what you quoted...that's not a no. That's a "we are happy...for now".

Evidently the author is new to coaching searches.

That sounds nothing like a “no” to me.

Remember when Saban was coaching the Dolphins… he said “NO” to rumors he was going to Bama and look how that turned out…

Did Dave also say anything about how much he loves his Texas ranch?

That sounds like typical coach speak, we are very happy here. If offered LSU he would jump at the chance

Would love to see Aranda here but I doubt he wants to relocate his family again. Getting them out of Baton Rouge was hard. A lot of money can probably change that though.

Don’t get emotional and treat prospective coaches like girls who play hard to get you want to get in their pants more.

Think with your head on quality of body of work and resume on this decision.

The whole non-denial denial actually works both ways. You never want to give a hard no because you have to maintain leverage over your current employer for future extension negotiations.

And certainly no slamming of the door. What Tomlin did should squash all talk. This leaves the door wide open
