It would be ironic for us to benefit from another school making the same mistake that we did last year.

We need a Tigerdroppings grassroots movement to deliver "We love Charlie" signs to Austin for their game

UT fans are such douchebags...

I am surprised by this 11th hour Herman to LSU. But I believe if Herman does take the LSU job, and again that may be a possibility. I don't think he was ever considering coming to Texas in the first place. There is a huge difference between the schools politics, fan bases and damn near everything else that a coach would have these two particular schools as their destination. Not to mention what methods the two schools will allow a football coach to use to win a football game. From drug testing to player behavior Texas and LSU look at those things differently. I am not suggesting one is better than the other, only how management views a coaches methodology.

Because of that should Texas not get Herman congrats to LSU if they feel they got their man (if these LSU rumors are in fact true) and Texas will have to do whatever they must. But I won't put it off on the Texas officials that they botched it in some way. I will go away from it as the two sides have a philosophical difference in how the program is to be run. And Herman felt he could not comply with the Texas way.

If so, it just proves that a gang of morons are running the show in Austin. They should have gotten this done last week, and instead made the same mistake LSU did last year. They left the door open for endless drama and speculation, and for the media to focus on the negativity surrounding their program for an entire slow news week. If they do lose out on Herman, it will be entirely on those running that asylum.

Yep. If Herman doesn't go to Texas it's because he couldn't meet their standards. Sounds like Bama fans.

The "Texas Way" is letting Boosters run roughshod over a HC and Athletic Department. How's it going?

And they may beat TCU but it sure won't be a blowout. Sounds like the Texas boards are as bad as this one.

Not really. Bama is win football games, Period. If not testing for PED's, hire enough people that each position on the field has a staff of coaches and accepting a tyrant as HC means winning games, then that's okay.
Texas' " standards" is a myth made up to lessen the realization that they're average to below average athletically.
