Anyone talking to Miles?

Just wondering with various reports regarding several coaches currently employed being talked to at other schools if anyone is/will be talking to Miles? Why would he not be a target for ANY other school? Past success, a NC, 2 NC game appearances, great recruiter, great ambassador for a school. All you would want in the ideal coach. Better record than Richt or Fisher. Relatively low salary and disgruntled admins and boosters should make him a prime target to entice to leave with a good offer. Why is he not #1 candidate on a USCe or Missouri search? Why is he not in the top 3 for the UGA job? Surely those 3 could offer him significantly more than 4.3 million and with the current state of affairs here surely he would listen to a 5.5 million deal with more short term security wouldn't he? Or if not why aren't other schools with so many openings not courting him or do you think they are?

I seriously doubt he wants to start over at 63.

My question is how many of his former OCs/DCs are now head coaches. I'm interested in ole Less's coaching tree

Probably not but why wouldn't they at least make a run at him? Saban is close to that age and if he only made 4.3 mill don't you think he would be getting serious looks?

You don't go down when you have a better job. Some of these schools can't get their coach to leave TCU or Houston for a better gig...and you think Miles is going to leave for a job with poorer facilities, worse recruiting areas, and less money to spend in the program?

Maybe Saban should take the Memphis job then?

Probably not but these coaches are at least pursued. Why not Miles?

If they offered him 10.5 million maybe he would listen! So with Miles making 4.3, if UGA came and offered him 5.5, why would he not listen? And they would have an upgrade based on past success would they not?

Pretty sure I remember both Arkansas and Michigan rumors surrounding Miles in the not too recent past.

Because he has a job. A good one.

Everyone pretty much thinks the AR think wasn't serious and opinions vary on the UM deals. But given the backdrop now, why wouldn't he be a candidate anywhere? If Jimbo only made 4.3 don't you think he would be pursued by the SEC teams this year?

He loves it at LSU. Shoot, the Michigan job was open twice and he didn't take it.

So does Jimbo. So does Mullen. So does Freeze. But you hear their names in discussions or reports about being courted. Interesting.

Seriously doubt that he would consider either. Why would he leave LSU and all that he has built here --- and Leonard Fournette --- for Missouri? They know this. They will not waste their time.

How do you know he is not? Things are pretty quiet in Athens.

The only school with the ability to entice him would have been USCw. They had a laundry list of big names flying around --- Fisher, Kelly, Miles (yes, Miles). They settled on Clay Helton. I wonder why.

I don't think you're getting the response you're looking for. He sucks and no other school really wants him. Does that about do it?!?

Which is why we laughed so hard at LSU fans when they thought Joe had Jimbo in the bag. Coaches simply don't hop between top programs unless the AD runs them off. It was all wishful thinking.

Not even close to what Les Miles or Jimbo has. Mississippi St. historically is one of the worst Power 5 programs.
