Only LSU could make me disappointed in a Jimbo hire. I was all in on the Jimbo train last November because Herman had only had one season as a head coach. But watching Herman work in year 2 (even with the losses to SMU and Navy) I have placed him as my 1A and Jimbo as my 1B.

Now, for some reason, I think I'd be a little disappointed if we ended up with Jimbo.

if you'll hurry up and pick one and then pull real hard it'll probably throw the balance that direction and we'll have our coach!! so hurry up, we're waiting on you

Just get one of them! DON'T botch things and end up with neither.

Yall act like aranda is going to stay for 5 years. I rather jimbo for 6 years with Pruitt then herman with aranda for 1 year.

I'm with you op. Herman is very exciting and I'll be thrilled, but jumbo is about as proven a coach as any school could ever hire.

I'm good with either, but I'll be a little more skeptical with Herman. Just barely though.

Herman>Jimbo but both would be excellent hires.

Only thing that concerns me with Herman is him bolting for the NFL. I think a Jimbo hire would be a longer tenure.

Well, I am still wanting Jimbo....the "don't worry" statement from him last night/this morning, I feel, is putting the FSU people/fans in a quandary.....how come he just doesn't just flat out deny? "I have NO interest in the LSU job, or any other job". I understand "leverage ". Just flicking flat out say NO! Herman would be great. But, I feel, he might have the NFL in sight (re: Sabah), OR when Meyer quits the OSU, he, along with Aranda, is headed back to Big 10 country....don't want to go thru 2004/05 again. If it's not Jimbo, I will be excited for Herman, but bidding my time before he and Aranda bail for other places. Jimbo would become an icon coach at LSU....

Jimbo is that good girl you can bring home to Mom. She good looking, know how to cook, and probably won't run around on you.

Herman is that once in a lifetime frick that you know you may regret it later, but god damn that bitch is fine, and if you don't do it you know you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Unless of course you pass and your buddy winds up fricking her and gets herpes.

LSU needs a wife (Jimbo), not a one night stand (Herman).

If hiring Fisher means Aranda won't stay, then I would rather see Herman be the new head coach.

But the main thing is that one of them accept the offer and a new coach is named as soon as possible.
