You're wrong Broski...He would certainly raid the state of Tx for the best but as has been said on here still plenty to go around

Still worst for LSU if Saban is in Austin since he would take who he wants from La as well & he's closer

1. He doesn't "take who he wants" from LA. He's not getting any of the N.O. kids this year and North LA has been an outlier lately.

2. How pissed will y'all be if he goes and still uses those inroads in AL to take "who he wants" from there?

The quantity of recruits in Texas far outnumbers the quantity in Alabama

This. He would end up dipping into LA less than he does now.

Right, but we would no longer run recruiting in this state. We aren't going to get the top 5 recruiting classes we need to compete with bama and LSU that we are getting right now. Sure we'll still get decent players, a&m always has for that very reason, but we won't run recruiting in the state like we are now and we need to if we want to compete with you guys and LSU year in and year out

Saban has tapped into a unique situation with NELA. It is only 30 minutes more drivetime to tuscaloosa but is 100% interstate whereas NELA to BR is all back highways with small town speed traps.

The only real change as far as a shorter distance for Saban at UT vs BAMA to the major population centers is Shreveport and Lake Charles. There is still a very significant time difference for LC ppl when choosing LSU vs UT and the drive from BR to shreveport is monotonous but easy.

If Saban moved hed pull a couple more Shreve kids but lose the couple of south LA kids he gets.

IMO net effect is zero on LA recruiting, but weve been pulling Miss and Georgia kids which will be easier and we can get back into gulf coast alabama which we used to own before saban so Southeast recruiting will go up. On the flip side it will be tougher to recruit texas, but talent in texas is overflowing. Can only sign 25.

Recruiting change will end up being negligible.

Getting him out of the division is a win.

Of course, Saban takes what he wants from Louisiana and Texas but would leave all the Alabama guys alone because he's nice like that.

I totally disagree. Saban is going to get kids from anywhere he wants regardless of at UT or Bama, but if he is at UT, LSU does not have to compete for SECW and play them every year. Bama will decline but not to mediocrity.

Saban would kill it in Texas. It would be a waste of time to put that many man hours into recruiting Louisiana when he has Texas mostly to himself.

He would still recruit LA but not to the degree that he is now.

Players will now have to choose between playing in the SEC and playing for Saban. It is a good thing.

Bingo! This becomes the real story. aTm coming to the SEC opened up huge recruiting line for them, because there are a ton of kids out there who only want to play for an SEC school. What happens when those kids have to make a choice?

Don't say he gets them all, because you guys are crazy saying he dominates the whole damn SE United States. He cant sign the entire Rivals 250
