He's on radar..right now nothing in the works. Would be shocked if he's not on staff in the next few years.

If it's true college can now have 11 coaches on staff, he has to be one of LSU's first calls. With his experience recruiting North LA, I have a hard time seeing LSU not getting everyone they want in 2016

We could hire him as a TE coach. I'm not sure why Ensminger is still around.

He breaks down the film and knows the timeout situation on the sidelines

Better question- Can Juluke coach special teams?

If anyone should be moved to an admin spot its ensminger...by all accounts he makes his hay behind the scenes in "the room" and is a big asset off the field.

Get another hungry riser with big ambitions and strong AF connections around the state.

What is the LSU fascination with pushing out coaches to bring in an entire staff of Louisiana recruiters? How many coaches do you need to recruit that state?

I'm not sure there's another sec fan more infatuated with LSU's coaching changes than you.

Anyways, locking up Louisiana talent seems to be a winning formula for us in the past. Why would we change? Plus, there's no denying that other programs are taking instate talent that LSU would love to have.

We do recruit nationally, yes, but assistants with deep ties across the entire country are difficult to come by. It makes a lot of sense hiring coaches with deep Louisiana ties.

Peveto coaches Special Teams and he's the 4th assistant on the defensive side of the ball. I doubt they move him. He's actually pretty valuable considering he's listed as just a special reams coach.

The entire staff is loaded with great hires...then you Ensminger. Maybe he does a lot of stuff behind the scenes, but it's hard for a fan to see it.

Peveto is a cancer. Special teams were not sharp this year. The only time they looked good was against his old team. That guy needs to go.

Why everyone rides Juluke's jock? I want nothing to do with a guy who wears backwards hats on sidelines.

Because he's young, energetic, hard working, hungry and African American. Pretty much like every assistant coach in America was at one point. Some blossom, some don't. He just fits the profile of a knockout recruiter.

Louisiana is where our bread is buttered. I'd rather have 9 Louisiana tied assistants that are top recruiters than a mix and match with ties around the country. Good recruiters can get kids from anywhere. Locking up LA is and always will be priority #1. Our best recruiters all have strong LA ties but are more than capable of pulling OOS kids they are on. Corey Raymond is a prime example. Guy kills it in FL.

Ensminger isn't the best recruiter but he probably has the most ties to the hs coaching community on our staff. Guy has ins all over the state and is well respected. Could that be used administratively? Of course but he's the TE coach so deal with it. He's not going anywhere. Every staff in America has the one guy that the fan base considers dead weight. He just happens to be ours

Juluke ain't going nowhere. He's staying at Tech to finish his career.
Seriously though he is a good coach and recruiter and will probably move up in the ranks pretty soon. I hope Tech can hold on to him for a couple more years though.

ensminger is just brought up b/c anytime somebody describes his value (including your post), it seems that he can do that role without a coaching title. his profile seems to be a guy who breaks down film for gameplanning and a guy who breaks down recruiting film for identifying talent in recruiting. now you add in his connections to LA HS coaches

he can do all of those jobs in an admin role

nobody has any clue what peveto does other than craft the sweetest fire rub this side of the sabine

Curious where this is coming from? I've seen it twice, but can never find anything about it.
