Why would they not contact him?

It never hurts to ask.

Pipe dream. I'm sure they'll call. And he'll prob listen. But this isn't the right time for chip to bail on the NFL. Didn't they call before they hired Muschamp??

He kind of has this whole "leading the NFC and having home field advantage for the entire NFL playoffs" thing that is keeping him busy now

Foley with the practice interview. Get the bugs worked out in your pitch with the someone you know isn't coming anyway.

If the eagles go in the tank to finish the season then maybe but if he makes the playoffs again I can't see him leaving

You dont think being maybe the best team in the NFC and possibly winning the Super Bowl is the right time?

PS: Im not making fun of you or even the OP, I am making fun of anyone who thinks this is a possibility

Was his practice with Mike Shanahan 10+ years ago not good enough?

I love it.

The rumor mill machine is in full force as predicted. Foley releasing just enough info tiny bits at a time.

Or, a whole shite ton of folks just making shite up.

Hmmmmmm....

I can't decide if you're enjoying the process or staying pissed off.

New decade, new pitch. Different pop culture references and so on. Don't want to be cracking jokes about Jennifer Aniston's hair and NSYNC breaking up. Gotta make sure those new Katy Perry jokes land.

Menlo my friend, there is nothing to be pissed off about. I'm really sorry it didn't work out for Boom but he had his shot and it didn't work. It's time to move on.

It's just funny to see all the knee jerk reactions and good hire, naw, terrible hire banter from fans from other schools and even our own. No matter who we hire some are going to say "Good hire" and most are going to make fun. That's the way it goes.

The funny part for me is that Foley hasn't told anyone anything. So, any leaks at this point are more than likely from the coach side so that they can get raises.

In my opinion there is no home run candidate out there that is available this go 'round. Foley is going to have to pull a rabbit out of the hat. It could be his last hire so he knows what's at stake. He does not want to retire leaving the program in bad shape.

I'm just enjoying the ride.

No, he coaches the Eagles. But considering he is now tied record wise with the cardinals, I am pretty sure leading the NFC is very much on his mind still
