We should be meeting with him while Mile's is meeting with UM. Remember, no one man is greater than LSU. Not a big miles fan, but this is a bad time for him to depart. No way in hell do i roll over a $15 million buyout ever.

Patterson's name is all over this board. I'm sure he'll be on the short list

Alleva's search team should have been meeting with him Fri. night after the game, Sat. morning, at the latest.

People you don't understand, Patterson has repeatedly said he does not want to go anywhere else but TCU. His family is happy in Ft. Worth and so is he. Money, fame and fortune does not mean the same to every one.

TCU is already paying him $3 million and he's already turned down his alma mater Kansas State.

Would you really want to coach there?

I would offer him 5 million and make him tell us no.

5 million for a the coach at TCU who took over a good program that Franchioni started. No offense to Patterson, but he has resources the other Mountain West schools can't compete with. Texas talent, 13 million dollar student athlete academic center, rich alumni base and he takes running backs and puts them on defense so other teams can't compete with his team speed (same thing that makes West Monroe a successful high school team). Not saying he's not a good coach, but I don't want to spend 5 million on a guy who could be another Curley Hallman who hasn't won at a bug time level yet.

Besides, Petterson has a big contract, has turned down many job openings, has a school that worships him, is moving to the Bug East, has been at TCU for almost 12 years or so and rich recruiting ground compared to his new conference. Let's see how he does without all his Sr's this year.

...LSU has positioned themselves to replace Miles if needed. Make no mistake, they know what they are doing.

Idiot, he's not gonna say sure, I'd like to hear from LSU or talk to them. Just like Miles isn't going to say he wants to hear from Michigan. You don't put all your balls in one bowl, especially if it isn't 100% chance you are going somewhere else.

Both coaches have good jobs right now and they aren't going to jepordize that until they know for sure about another one...so of course Patterson is happy at TCU, just like Miles is happy at LSU.

You really aren't that stupid are you?

Ive heard that there isn't a job in America that Patterson would leave TCU for. He has it made there.

I believe the AD at TCU said that LSU and Texas were the only two schools that Patterson would consider leaving TCU for.
