I could give two shits about college experience...he learned under Jim Johnson when they were with the eagles. Thats all I need to know.

Probably nobody even lined up yet either.

Yeah you are rt, they haven't put any thought into who they want.

And you guys want a new head coach? Because if they are seriously allowing Miles to waste time and not conduct a search, what the frick are alleva and the people in charge going to do?

Hate to break it to y'all but Mcdermott started his coaching career in 1998 at William and Mary which last time I checked was a college program..

I thought the Jets hired Doug Marrone, but I guess I should have known better since I read that on this board.

from reading through this thread i've come to 2 conclusions.

1. nobody knows shite, but many like to pretend they do
2. there are certain posters that want this to be a horrible hire and turn into a trainwreck because they'd rather be "right" than see a certain someone succeed

Stars are also born out of things that have been around for awhile. So no need to run with the "newb" angle.

FML, I shoulda not even started with a hint.

So I'm just going back to.... pumped.

hmmm, Wade Phillips is a good guess, but that doesn't jive with Hanny claiming that the super secret candidate coached in 2014.

I would not be happy with any geriatric like LeBeau or Kiffin.

Kiffin didn't have much success in college. LeBeau would be a huge unknown at the college level. I would be cautiously ecstatic with LeBeau knowing there is a huge chance of failure. I'd be livid if we brought in Kiffin.

Fangio would be a huge get. I doubt it considering he'd be able to get another DC job in the NFL pretty easily, and is being considered as a HC (interviewed with Niners for possible promotion).

of the NFL names I've seen listed, I could see Fangio being it. La. ties, college experience (albeit brief), background is coaching LBs.....

I don't think he's our hire but of the "bomb" names I've seen thrown around he seems the most attainable. But that says more about the names being tossed around
