I know there is alot of Florida people in here. Anyone hear who USF is going after?

A few names have been tossed around already including Houston Nutt, Bobo from UGA and a few wanting Petrino. I'm not sure which are real possiblities vs pipe dreams.

rumor going around about A&M DC Mark Snyder (who we hired from USF) being a candidate. You hearing anything on your side?

Y'all know him better than we do, I think ol' Nutt could be successful at USF. The BE is getting weaker by the day and USF is in a recruiting gold mine. Winning at USF would have to be easier than winning in the SEC.
My preference would be Butch Davis but I don't see that happening.

If I were USF Fan, I'd much prefer Taggart to Nutt. Houston Nutt will do about as well at his next gig as Bob Toledo did at Tulane. He's just looking for a place to chill and basically rob the athletic dept.

His offense doesn't attract the modern offense players. Running back and oline? Yeah, you'll have a good one but good luck throwing it past a 10 yard stop.
He's good at taking a shite show (see Kentucky or Colorado) and making it decent. With top level team/talent, he'll win 9 games.
Being totally honest, Holtz is a much better coach than Nutt. I used to be a Houston fan, his passion isn't in the game anymore. He's aged so much and you can tell.
Like the poster said, he's looking to make a cool million or two and move on at this point in his career.

and he's young, right? Coaching almost 15 years in the SEC will wear anyone down. Nutt shouldn't be hired ever again.
