Would be a decent hire.

He's not the "home run" guy fans are obsessed with, but the last time Florida hired a coach from the Mountain West who won 10 games it worked out pretty well

yeah im sure that is the best way to get a coach, unless he agrees, you dont tell the guy who to hire.

There's this nugget in there for you Florida fans:

quote:

Foley and McElwain, per sources, are in agreement that it would be best for Florida football to retain defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin and defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson at a minimum.

Don't like the sound of this:

That's what I was thinking too. If I'm a UF fan, I like the hire. I'm not, so I don't.

How much of control did Durkin have over the defense as far as defensive game planning and play calling goes?

That is a shite hire and everyone at Florida knows it. Wow. JM had some success in the Mountain West. I guess losing to Boise State and Air Force are quality loses. Please. I'd wanna blow my brains out if LSU hired this guy. If Foley interviews him, maybe JM's breath will still smell like Saban's cock and Foley won't be able to resist.

He's a great coach and will do well. Not a splash but he will win.

I don't think that has Muschamp to AU in mind. If TRob has the chance to come back to AU I'd be shocked if he didn't

Seems weird to go from one Saban disciple that didn't work out to another. I guess the hope is that he is more Jimbo and less Dooley, Bobby Williams, Muschamp.

If so he will run roughshod in that joke of a division. Mac is an awesome coach.

Florida fans should be over the moon.
