The Aggies couldnt get a call returned at the goat ranch. In Baton Rouge, its LSu not returning the calls.
Why is this?

Miles & LSU are more proven than A&M right now. We've sustained success for a longer period of time. Coaches want stability. There's more of that at LSU with Miles than at A&M with Sumlin right now.

Plus Miles has been around the block longer and has more contacts than Sumlin has. Many of Miles' contacts come from the NFL which Sumlin has none of.

How glorious was that? LSU fans laughed at how long our search took and our meltdown over losing recruits, laughed more at the thought of us hiring Chavis, and then we hired Chavis.

THEN they claimed Chavis and his #1 ranked D actually sucked and they let him walk. 3rd and Chavis lololol.

It was a fun month!

Chavis had had his detractors on here for years, so please don't pretend every single LSU fan pulled a 180 on the guy when he took the job.

I think his scheme and your offense are going to make for one terrible marriage, but hey best of luck.

Bend-don't-Break Defense and a quick-strike offense.... and aTm has ZERO depth.

Should be fun

Understatement of the year right here. A&M don't have the secondary to run his scheme just yet. It's going to be a bumpy few years unless they can get some talent in and a secondary coach worth a shite. Terry Joseph is a great recruiter but a so-so DB coach.

If this is being claimed as a " Cornmeal Layered Hotdog" only board, there should be a SECr coaching change board too.

Why don't you contact an Auburn football site and complain.

Until then, know your place.

lack of depth along their front 7 is going to be an issue for them.

Funny thing is Sumlin may not have a few years. The consensus was that he was wearing out his welcome prior to this hire

I was saying this before Chavis took the job (which was shocking to me). If Sumlin's O isn't clicking, the Defense is gonna be gassed in the late 3rd 4th q.

edit: It does damage LSU in the short term at least and removes the D coord from a rival who has taken care of them pretty solidly. That in itself is good.

That too. They need a complete overhaul on defense and Sumlin might not make it out of the conversion time with his job. I don't know how many 4 loss seasons he can make it through at $5 million per year.

Miles, assistant director of football operations Dean Dingman and Miles’ agent, George Bass, are leading the search, multiple sources said.
Two Michigan O-linemen and a sports agent... what could go wrong?

Oh give it a fricking rest. Les was seen multiple times this year yelling into the headsets to throw the ball after 3rd and short runs that got stopped. Despite what you morons think, Les doesn't want to have to pound it up the middle every play. That just happened to be what we were good at this year. It was pointless to keep calling pass plays for Jennings.

so who defines good? you? i'm sure you are such a fountain of football knowledge that you know as much or more than the pros out there.

the short of it is that YOU know nothing so YOU assume everyone else is in the same position.

fortunately, YOU are not relevant in this search. amen.
