We hired Cam late, and have lost 3+ games every year since, so we cant say a late hire had no effect.

May be the stupidest thing I've ever read on this site and that is saying a lot.

ETA: LSU had the best offense they'd had in 6 years in 2013.

To LSU fans that feels like an eternity ago.

Cam excelled at developing QB's in the NFL, hoping last year was just a fluke.

And John Chavis has 1.7 million reasons to be the chief rumor monger. And the problem for recruits will be, Chavis can say I know what I'm talking about

Even if he doesn't get them to A&M, he can steer them away from LSU

So are we assuming Chavis is going to give up the too-good-for-recruiting schtick all of a sudden?

"I've officially committed to Tennessee," Martin said on Wednesday. "I wanted to go to LSU but then Chavis left to go to Texas A&M."

Because Chavis was such a primary factor in Martin's interest in the Tigers, his departure made Martin's decision easy.

Daylon Mack from Texas, has added Texas A&M back to his list of recruiting visits, according to the website Saturday Down South. The move was made just days after Mack made LSU and TCU his final two schools. However, Mack is not the only high-profile recruit that may be getting away from LSU.

JUCO defensive back Justin Martin announced Wednesday afternoon he was switching from LSU to Tennessee. Another Nashville native, Kyle Phillips, told 24/7 he heard Brick Haley is leaving, too and he's following Martin to Knoxville as well.

Chavis does plenty of recruiting

Les has hired/promoted coordinators as late as mid February.
Let's just wait until the spring game to announce our DC hire. As our crack team of resident brain surgeons have pointed out, the LSU brand sells itself anyway.
