but isn't LM still the coach @ LSU?? Just because he is talking to Michigan doesn't mean he'll be leaving. Nah, sounded good though

Actually no, no he is not. As of today. He told the team at practice today he accepted the job. Ask a player if you know one. They'll tell you.

Orko, ask a player on the team if you know one. I have no reason to make it up. I was told directly by a good friend on the team. Anyone who is friends w/ players probably already knows this. Miles officially told team at practice. Expect it to break tomorrow.

IF this is true then you get props, but I would find it very hard to understand a coach telling his players on the eve of the SECCG he is leaving. Personally, I think whoever told you this is full of shite the way THIS POST SMELLS.IMO

exactly. I have a hard time believing that any LSU player would have anything to do with a douche like you.

Actually, its not that hard to believe. Neither team nor coaches will have any media contact before the game. Team leaves first thing tomorrow morning, they will be in sequester till Sat nite, which they will catch a plane back to BR, Sun morning Les signs deal.

This is the bottom line, Coaches know games are won on emotion. Even if LM was leaving, I do not think he would announce it to the team before the SECCG. Actually, winning the SECCG would add to his chances of going to UM. This doesn't make sense because it is not how a professional coach would act and treat his players.IMO

BTW

Archer, Hallman, and Dinardo all told their teams the Thurs after practice of their impending fate....not out of the realm.

Just to be specific...and peg "your source"....did he say LM accepted the job at Michigan? Or did he say LM accepted the job (which could be misleading).

To be honest, I think that his telling the team (assuming this is true)will probably help rather than hurt morale.

I have no inside infor whatsoever, but I think that the team was being pulled down originally by the fact that everybody pretty much knew Miles wanted Michigan from the press conference he gave after the Carr announcement.

The fact that he didn't (or couldn't) come out and confide in them had to have a serious impact on that coach/player trust relationship. If he told them today that might actually improve things a little where they can/could get things out in the open. Won't return them to what they were before but might help some. Maybe the players will rally around each other.
