At least he's better than 5-19 at that Big 12/ Big 10 school. I could be on board with it.

Pelini has HC experience and is familiar with the SEC.

He is not a bad pick.

Although he is kind of an arse.

Agreed. He would not be terrible, but he reminds me of Tuberville. He would be good for a solid 8 or 9 win season most years but not much more IMO.

"Although he is kind of an arse". This from a fan of Nick Saban. But as to the Neb. job being better than AU's, Barry Switzer, when he was winning big at OU, made this comment bout both Lincoln & Norman: " there is literaly nothing to do in either city in the mths of Jan/Feb except workout & go to the movies, & it is hard to recruit inner city kids to that type of lifestyle".

Pelini's name was thrown out there for our job a few days ago. I was less than enthused.

Auburn can and will do better than him

Nebraska has the better history, Auburn has more potential for the present/future.

he really isnt even that good of a DC

he invented soft coverage. Let Rick Clausen come back on him with his pea shooter arm and thought putting Danny McCray man to man against slot WRs was a good matchup for 3 years.

Going from Nebraska to Auburn is a downgrade.
