While listening to his press conference at Nebraska, I can't help but feel a loss. Pelini is a high quality person and coach.

Good luck with the Huskers.

He made a point to say that you win through hard work, not cheating. He's earned his shot, I wish him all the best.

My favorite part of the press conference was when he said "Bo Pelini's not going to change."

Yeah, neither will his defensive scheme during games.

Kudos on the 3rd person self-refernce, too.

It will be night and day. You watch NE will be a force in the next few years. Remember the T.O era well I got a feeling we will have a BO era up here. He wanted this job the last time he was here Peterson fricked him out of that.

Pelini on coaching in the BCS title game

After the formal part of Bo Pelini's press conference, surrounded by reporters, Pelini left open the idea about coaching LSU in the national title game if the Tigers are in it.

"Their desire, Coach (Les) Miles' desire is that I help them through that national championship game if they get to play in a national championship game," Pelini said. "What that would mean here, that would be something I'd have to get a blessing from Coach Osborne on.

"But the thing that kind of allows you to do that these days (coach in a bowl game for another team) is the (recruiting) dead period. I would want to make sure I do the right thing by LSU for all the things they did for me. But that wouldn't really change anything from now and mid-December. I'm going to work for Nebraska right now. My focus right now is to put a staff together and begin recruiting."

The recruiting dead period starts on Dec. 17 -- coaches aren't allowed to contact recruits then -- and runs until Jan. 1.

One more note: Pelini said he has not yet signed a contract. "That'll work itself out pretty soon," he said.

Comments from any LSU faithful?

I might add that The Big Red Nation is adopting LSU through the BCS Title Game since we have no bowl to go to this year. We are living vicariously through your team.

I think Pelini should begin his new job without any distractions. LSU will be fine.

Good luck to Coach Pelini and Nebraska.

As far as Pelini coaching us in the BCS game, I don't think that would be fair to either school. He needs to focus on being Nebraska's head coach.
