I was also really not a fan of the very end (the epilogue, I guess). Without giving away spoilers, I don't believe that the character would have been as content with the situation as suggested by the book.

I loved the end. One of the better endings I had read in a while actually.

I'm not a big audio book guy, but this is probably the only case I can remember actually liking the audio book better than actually reading it. Narrator had me fully engaged the whole time, which is normally the issue when I'm listening to an audiobook.

****slight spoiler but not that much of a spoiler***

I like a happy ending. It had been a while since an ending had made me smile like that. At the very end when he said something like "Ok class listen up" and you realized he was an english teacher, I was like o hell yea that is awesome I swear books don't have nearly as many feel good endings as they used too, it was kind of refreshing.

Yea, I wasn't a big fan of Artemis. It was perfectly fine, just nothing special.

The audio production is top notch

I’m one chapter in and was hooked after about 3 paragraphs.

I’m not even much into Sci-Fi but good writing and presentation is good writing and presentation regardless of genre.

I didn't read The Martian but loved the movie. I had high hopes for PHM. I liked it but didn't love it. It didn't seem all that serious to me but I don't read a lot of SF so what do I know. I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads

Read (or listen to) The Martian. So much better than the movie.

I just don't know why an audio book would be better than reading it yourself.
I used to think that. Then I became a fan of certain narrators (Ray Porter and RC Bray are fantastic at what they do).
