How does Marvel Comics get things so wrong, and DC so right?

It is the reverse of the cinematic universe.
DC doesn't make these massive overhauls for the sake of "diversity".
Marvel does.
Marvel's sales are in absolute freefall.
Marvel executive says emphasis on diversity may have alienated readers. Afterwards he caught all kinds of shite for being honest, so he backpedalled. Marvel then doubled down. Now all media sources seem to be falling all over themselves to say that the falling sales are ANYTHING but the fact that Marvel has alienated core fans from the core heroes.
DC has just been doing what they have always done. And they have now eclipsed Marvel in sales.
I think fans were OK with changing some characters. But, for example, they have changed every original Avenger except Giant Man.
Iron Man is a black woman
Thor is a woman
Hulk is an asian dude
Also Captain America is a black dude, and Steve is a Nazi member of Hydra.
*sigh*
It's just so hamfisted.

It's the same thing happening to espn. Nobody wants politics emphasized in their entertainment, whether it's their sports, books, etc...

I'm glad I quit reading comics years ago Bc they sure sound shorty now. I was a Thor and Xmen fan. I can only imagine what the Xmen have become. a bunch of gender folk---the LGBTQIAJWOPLKHG-non-binary-team!

Iron Man is actually a young black woman genius who inherits the suit (she'd actually made her own similar suit) because Tony Stark is in a coma. I actually really like this because Tony Stark is rich white genius playboy whereas this is actually meritocracy. There's actually something to be said for giving young girls (whether minority or not) strong Scientist role models.
