Well, in that WoW Theon chapter linked above, Theon tells Stannis that Ramsay is the one to prepare for and that he's looking for "his Reek".

That said, I don't really have a strong opinion on who wrote the letter. Seems like most people believe at the very least that it is not an accurate letter from Ramsay. I think that's probably true but after that, I can't really make up my mind.

Figured this needed to be linked here as well, although I'm sure I'm late to the party on this.

Unbelievable series of youtube videos:

History and Lore of Westeros

Also, here is an epic look at Ned's TOJ Dream set to the audiobook with storyboards:

Anybody get the official awoiaf app for iPhone. Apparently it has a lot of input by Martin and can confirm/deny alot of crackpot theories

Has anybody tried to take a crack at the whole picture?

Will there be one giant war versus the Others?
- All the kingdoms come together to fend them off?
- Doubtful

Two separate wars?
- Revenge/Rightful Heir war & Others/AA war.
- How can both really go on at the same time since they are not that far apart?

Two separate wars at different times.
- I don't see this happening since The Others are putting pieces in place and the other war is heating up too.

OK shite I admit this one is even more nerdy than the others, but I actually ended up really liking it as it went on

Rhaegar and Llyanna

Rhaegar- Legolas
Llyanna - chick from Rome I think
Robert - Aragorn
Ned - Boromir
Brandon - Faramir
Rickard - Theoden
Aerys - Denethor

"I promise"

Another pretty good one building up the Jon and Dany theory (Ice and Fire): Glad to see I'm not the biggest nerd out there when it comes to obsessing over this series

what is left of the kingdoms will imo

i think the first starts and is interrupted by the Others, forcing the kingdoms to stand together and fight through the long winter

I think it could be:

Jon Snow and The Others vs Dany and her dragons

One thing is for sure, I believe, and it is that there is far more to the Others than being just being mindlessly evil beings. That seems far too straightforward for Martin.

What's everyones opinions on Rickon? I have a feeling when we finally hear from him again he is going to be batshit crazy

I think so too. I know there's been talk about him ending up over Winterfell and what not. But the kid was borderline unhinged before he went to go kick it with the cannibals at Skaggos (sp?). And his wolf was reflective of that too. I can't see him turning it around where he's not batshit crazy.

Its only assumed Skaggos is full of cannibals although I think Rickon will be a bit out there I feel he will be prepared for whatever his role is going to end up

I think there may be a contingent of Northerners hiding with Rickon in Skagos that Manderly wasn't aware of. It may not be as cannibalistic as everyone thinks.

i'm still intrigued by all the other dragon legends from around the world. everyone knows about the fire dragons found in Valyria and ridden by the Targs but what about the stone dragons of Dragonstone that Davos muses on, the huge ice dragon of the North and the sea dragon from the Iron Islands' Drowned God stories. With magic returning to the land, could these all emerge for the ensuing war?

Couldn't agree more. There's something deeper going on there, and I really think he's going to hit us with the curveball that they're actually carrying out some sort of (questionably) good intention from whoever is controlling them. Martin's mantra is making you hate something then showing you why you were retarded for not putting yourself in their shoes and seeing their point of view. I think this is what lies in store with the Others.

He's going to be Ramsay level cray if I had to guess. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Bran and Rickon had to face off in some sort of duel. After all, GRRM is all about inlaying "kinslaying" into his stories and the issues it presents. Wouldn't surprise me.
