Just wait until the Greatjon breaks free of his chains and kills of the Frey guardsmen. He'll head to the Vale, meet the Blackfish there, and they'll help lead Sansa/Harry the Heir's host up north.

I think Stannis will live for at least a while and become one of Jon's supporters

I think I've figured out how Littlefinger will die. He won't directly say it, but I think Sansa knows how Littlefinger's mind works well enough in that he will try to kill Rickon in order to secure Sansa's claim to the North. I think Sansa will kill Littlefinger before he is able to kill Rickon.

Randyll Tarly is much more capable than Mace Tyrell and will betray Mace under the walls of Storm's End. They'll be there to root Aegon out and Tarly will prove his Targaryen loyalty by wiping out the Tyrells. At that point Aegon will command the military might of the south. Stannis will have the north, Aegon the south, Dany will have the Iron Born & Unsullied, and Sansa will have her knights of the Vale. Should be a hell of an end to the series.

I want her to kick him out of the Moon Door. But yeah, I think she will avert some pretty big plans.

Man, I love this thread.

One thing I am thinking about. Edric or Gendry, which one of Robert's bastards have a bigger influence on the future?

Gendry. I think he earns his stripes in a pretty big moment or battle in the series. I think Edric marries Shireen and becomes Lord of Storm's End.

I hope not. I hope Littlefinger makes it through the series. Even if he doesn't accomplish his goals, let him escape

Littlefinger is pretty much the only character who has gotten out ahead from where he was previously in every single book. Karma is about to bite him in the arse. He can't avoid it forever.

Makes me think Martin likes him. I could totally see his plans getting destroyed, but he finds a way to get away.

Yeah, NIH has the truth of it I'm sure. The Huntsman's house is a proud one, and I've always seen a strong correlation between them and the Boltons - frustration from forever second fiddle to a richer, more powerful house that they view as an equal at best. Mace getting the cred for Tarly's military acumen only fanning the flames.

quote:

Remember Daemon's green dream? Saying that "he saw Dunk the greatest knight in all the land, and a dragon rising from a castle, a castle of snow".

The Brienne connection is pretty straight forward looking back at it now...didn't catch that cuz I was too obsessed w R+L=J at the time. The dragon rising I saw as a ref to Jon - at first with the snowy castle representing The North or even Castle Black, but especially after reading about Sansa's Winterfell made of snow and then the current state of Winterfell.

And will Bran spill the beans?

Doubt it. With great power comes greater responsibility, and He's Ned's son for sure in attitude, even for one so young. I just hope I (we) are wrong about B Raven's intentions and he doesn't lead Bran astray before he's finished biodegrading completely.

Whoops - what I was replying to in the first place:

I'm more and more convinced that the "Giant" that destroyed Sansa's snow castle is LF-his small stature lost in the massive shadow of his ambition and/or greed, developing into a potentially devastating destructive force- and his sights are set on everything Sansa holds dear: her mother, her home, the stroke of the Stark name, and of course her family's lands and incomes.

Why do people think that Bran knows that Lyanna and Rhaeger are Jon's parents?

I think Tyrion will make it through the series. Tyrion does deserve some sort of happy ending.
