NFL player Derek Wolfe Takes Down Massive, 2,000-Pound Buffalo With 2 Arrows
© Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports
32-year-old Baltimore Ravens DE Derek Wolfe checked a lifelong dream off his bucket list this week by hunting down and killing a massive, 2,000-pound buffalo...
quote:

Took two arrows to bring this 2000lb beast down. 1st at 34 yards and the second a perfect heart shot at 67 yards. A childhood dream came true for me. Thank you @mrs_ajw for setting this up for me. And a big shoutout to @annihilatorbroadheads for the 150g XL broadheads. 2nd slide shows how effective these broadheads were.

Yes, they run. Bison may be big, but they're also fast. They can run up to 35 miles per hour. Plus, they're extremely agile. Bison can spin around quickly, jump high fences and are strong swimmers.LINK .

2000 pounds is a stretch, imo.

There was a 3800 pound bull on a buffalo ranch in Shelby County Ky a few years ago. So 2000 isn't a stretch.

The old timers said the hump was the best meat on the bison. You can buy it in the store, it is not an endangered species and they are raised on ranches. Good for him.

I’m sure he hunted it for it’s food, hide, and bones and not to feed his massive ego.

Yeah because we all need Buffalo bones huh? The animals don't live for ever. He harvested a mature male past his breeding prime that dominates resources and will eventually die in an incredibly brutal manner if it's of old age. It's not slowly sleeping and never waking up, he will starve or die from predators when he's too weak to fight. Stay in your lane and buy your bacon that's made from poor animals that chew on bars they hate their life so much you hypocrite. He's an ethical human doing what humans have done for our entire history. Your a soft beta and if the lights go off you'd run to guys like him. Because you're soft.

Was hoping you meant Cape Buffalo. Was disappointed to see he killed the iconic American Bison.

I have no problem with calling it harvesting a bison but is it really "hunting" to get within range of a bison? I don't think so.

Most people that don't know much about a specific subject generally refrain from commenting about it because you know... ignorance. Why is it that people who don't know squat about hunting, always feel the need interject their perceived genius and morality about it???

I don't think it's immoral or wrong in any way.
