Brees lifted these douches up to make more money than they would have. They turned around and kicked him in the dick for showing patriotism. I can see him bailing. He has F.U. money.

Sorry Sean, go spew that Liberal BLM shite somewhere else. I thought Drew had balls but he sunk to a low to give up his respect for the flag. SO, you are saying more people should become pussies and not respect their positions, or its OK to piss on the flag and people who fought for your pansy existence

How about the clear discrimination against white corners and rbs? Don't give me the bullshite brainwashed lies about lack of speed or athleticism! I see dbs getting smoked in the league like no other time by inferior qbs. Of course many of you tools only think racism isn't possible in sports against whites. Wake up.

What is your grievance again? You think that some white DBs and RBs are not getting their due? Why not list some names and explain how they shoudl be replacing someone else.

When Brees retires he'll be able to take a knee every time he sees or hears the presentation of the National Anthem and the American Flag. (Disrespectful, Disgraceful, and Classless POS) Then paste the name of any criminal he wants to on his forehead!

More people on all sides of these issues should do exactly what Drew did. Listen. Listen to the people who feel differently than you do and try to understand why. Try to understand their story, their history, their struggle. Once you do that, you can easily do what Drew did and apologize for unknowingly speaking against something. Drew didn't say anything necessarily wrong in the first place. But he said something that spoke differently to people that had a different history than he did. And he owned that and made things right with them. There's no shame or cowardice in that. It's what real leaders do. They build bridges. They learn and grow. They pull more people into their circle and they join the circles of others. I'll accept the many downvotes this will get. Hat tip to Brees for being a leader and a man of respect and dignity.

Brees' action took courage. He is a guy who called a TV blowhard Sean Hannity a great American Patriot. You know which side of the political spectrum he falls on. However, after the George Floyd incident, he realized that he could not afford to spout high minded patriotic claim, given that his grand fathers were WW II veterans. He recognized the dissonance between his views and the hurt of a community, a member of which was casually killed. The people wearing blue killed a person for everyone to see. Brees acknowledged the fact. We have a system where one segment of the population is treated poorly by police. He expressed his willingness to listen and help. That's courage.

Drew is a republican. If he ran for office in this state, you will fall in line and vote for him.
