I assume it was developed to draw attention and increase brand value. What's the point? Most basketballs loose grip long before they stop holding air.

I would think the holes would cause issues when trying to shoot it

If you have kids that love dribbling in the dawn house that's pretty awesome.

Price tag a little steep there.

Shipping nightmare without a way to deflate and package.

It's solving an issue that isn't there, but it's cool to see the innovation. Just like a big arse flat screen. Those were $5k for a 50" when they came out. Now you can get a 65" for $400. One day when the process and materials are figured out, and these will be an above average option for your kids.

Noise reduction is the main selling point here. Hope they get em down in price.

Is there an issue with basketballs exploding? What's the problem with air.

People change things for the sake of change to try and justify their jobs. It’s all pointless.

For those who don't understand the need for an airless basketball it's all about selling more product. Period. Nothing wrong at all with that. You don't have to buy it.

This ranks up there with the all time 'things that are not needed'.
