Brett Kollmann who serves as NFL Draft and Film analyst for SB Nation recently released this scouting report video for LSU running back Leonard Fournette.
quote:

Blessed with an absolutely terrifying combination of size, speed, and power, Fournette has been able to (mostly) bully his way through the toughest conference in college football for the last three seasons (Alabama not included, of course). His physical skillset is not just rare, it's downright unheard of. 230+ pounds, legit 4.4 speed, and enough power to bury single tacklers alive with ruthless aggression - he's got it all.

Simply put, this kid might just be on the great Bo Jackson's level in terms of athletic freakishness. Will he ever match Ezekiel Elliott's rookie season or Adrian Peterson's total career production? That remains to be seen. However, what we do know is this - if there was EVER a running back prospect who could be given the benefit of the doubt just on physical gifts alone, it's Leonard Fournette. He's that special, folks.

I hope LF7's high ankle sprain is fully healed for the combine and for the NFL. Make LSU proud Leonard! Oh and it would be nice if you could show up on campus to help recruit when you can:)

Damn.. I'm going to miss Fournette. By far the most electric player to wear purple and gold in awhile. Maybe rivaled by TM7 but Fournette was just so dominant. Guice is about the best replacement we could ever have, and he may end up being even better statistically than Fournette. But he won't match the ridiculous talent that was on display when Fournette was on.

Fournette has always reminded me of a cross between Earl Campbell and Marshal Faulk. We all know how those guys careers went.

Anybody but the panthers or the dirty birds. Damn shame he wasn't healthy for his junior season. He's a beast!

Panthers could really benefit from LF7. Hell, any team would benefit.

A big, physical o-line and he's set. Problem is, he will probably be drafted by a bottom feeder with a weak line and will have to wait until free agency to prove his worth. Ultimately, this kid is too good not to succeed!

As a saints fan I would hate it but as an LSU fan I hope he goes to the Panthers.

I agree Solo Cam. Panthers have a good O-line and Cam Newton as a run threat would be another distraction to let LF7 flourish.

Long, but thorough breakdown. Basically LF7 has only one weakness, it's a zone read where he has to read the gaps from outside towards the interior.

No one I saw said LF7 sucks. If they did, they are not LSU fans.

But does he have that first cut in the backfield that all great NFL backs have? We'll see...
