The NFL.com recently named 14 impact freshmen, both true and redshirt freshmen, for the 2014 college football season, and 5 players from the SEC were included on the list.

It's no surprise that LSU freshmen Leonoard Fournette came in at No. 1.
quote:

1. RB Leonard Fournette, LSU
Size: 6-1, 225 pounds. Freshman status: True. Why he’ll make his mark early: Just weeks before the nation’s No. 1 running back recruit signed with the Tigers in February, his path to playing time cleared in a major way as LSU running backs Jeremy Hill and Alfred Blue both declared early NFL draft eligibility. If the remaining competition beats Fournette out for a starting role this year, it will be to just about every LSU fan’s surprise. At 225 pounds, the powerful five-star recruit had offers from every major program in the country. Left to battle the incoming phenom is veteran reserve Kenny Hilliard, the nephew of former Tigers and New Orleans Saints running back Dalton Hilliard.
Complete List:
1. RB Leonard Fournette, LSU
2. CB Mackensie Alexander, Clemson
3. LB Matthew Thomas, Florida State
4. LB Raekwon McMillan, Ohio State
5. DB Jabrill Peppers, Michigan
6. CB Tony Brown, Alabama
7. S Marcus Ball, Arizona State
8. OT Cameron Robinson, Alabama
9. RB Joe Mixon, Oklahoma
10. WR Ricky Seals-Jones, Texas A&M
11. CB Jalen Tabor, Florida
12. QB Kevin Olsen, Miami
13. OL Darius James, Texas
14. CB Jermaine Kelly, Washington

This list is pathetic. Any retarded crack baby knows that the #1 player in the nation who is going to a school that looses two guys at his position to the draft is going to make some kind of impact.

This list is worthless. How can anyone who takes a look at LSU while looking into Fournette not figure out that Dupre and maybe even Quinn should get on this list since LSU is losing the nest WR duo in the nation? Instead they throw the two kids that Bama took out from under LSU for some shite for brains reason.

Cam Robinson won't be an impact player for Alabama, unless by impact, they mean the hits being laid on the Alabama QBs from DEs blowing past him around the edge.

All of you people critiquing those who mentioned Magee, need to read the article. It mentions Kenny Hilliard as the only RB on the roster for Fournette to battle for carries, even though Magee finished 2nd on the team in rushing yards last year at a 7.1 YPC clip.

TM18 ? Anyone ?
Patrick_Bateman - 19 months
All you people saying Magee might should re-read the description. Emphasis on the word "Freshmen."

Not mentioning Magee just lets you know how little these guys know about the respective teams they write articles about.
kbol34 - 19 months
I hope Magee has such a great season that not only does that NFL.com writer learn who Magee is, he names a child after him.
TheWalrus - 19 months
Seals-Jones played a little bit early, but got a medical redshirt I believe

Quinn will surprise everyone. Heard it here!

I don't remember where I read it, but I too thought that Seals-Jones played as a freshman last season for the Aggies. If I remember correctly, I think he was injured. Anybody?
Spelt it rong - 19 months
Was Seals-Jones not a freshman last season playing for the aggies?

Magee will be the leading rusher by the end of the season

Terrible. No mention of Terrence Magee.

Surprised Dupre and Harris weren't on that list too.
