It was announced on Monday that LSU senior center Elliott Porter is one of 64 players selected to the 2014 Rimington Trophy Watch List. Per LSUSports.net:

The award is presented annually to college football’s most outstanding center.

A native of Waggaman, Louisiana, Porter started 12 games last season at center and helped anchor an offensive line that paved the way for a single-season school record with 37 rushing touchdowns.
Porter played 787 total snaps in 2013 and finished with 61 knockdowns. The winner of the award will be announced at the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Showaward in December .

Wow one of the 64 selected! It's good to know he's in the top half of FBS Centers.
