How many on this page have fathered kids outside marriage and not bothered to help raise them? How many had fathers they never knew? that 's what needs protesting

Is that guy in the top right the Bennett fella who lied about a cop putting a gun in his face? Great spokesperson for your cause right there.

I'm in violent agreement that a better action could/should be chosen and I'm not sure what kneeling during the anthem does directly for a cause. But as a retired Marine I took an oath ' that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic...' I didn't take it with the understanding of only if I agreed with their opinions. It shocks me that this topic first got the POTUS's attention and now is creating more divisiveness when we have FL & TX citizens without power and homes.... Sure wish the POTUS would just focus on the 'we the people'....but he has probably not read that either.

The better action would be to realizing this is nothing more than race baiting. There's no systemic racism in America today (outside of Affirmative Action and Race quotas). As for the POTUS and "we the people", you might not understand it but this is an important issue to address. Identity politics is tearing this country apart, and the progressives behind it who claim that everything is racist, everything is sexist, everything is homophobic, etc. are anti-western culture. Sure a more measured response from the POTUS would have been preferred, but this absolutely needs to be addressed.

I haven't watched much NFL since the Saints have been non-contenders. I will always wear my Saints T-shirts and my sons do to as we are not bandwagon fans for the Saints or LSU. However, this year I am completely giving up the NFL unless the Saints make it to the Super Bowl (not likely). The NFL has no backbone in getting their players to respect our Flag and National Anthem. If the players want to protest, do it on another venue and not for a moment respecting the icons of our great nation and for me, in remembrance that have served and died before me. USAF! GEAUX TIGERS!!!

I'm all for people's right to protest, and free speech. That also goes for people's right to completely avoid the NFL, or pro sports in general. What I can't stand is NOW....out of everything we have endured in the past year, with violent protest where women are assaulted and spit on, for walking into a lecture hall to hear someone speak, NOW..everyone seems to have a hard-on for free speech...because their concerned for the rights of people who get paid millions to throw a stupid ball around. That's where the division comes from. Maybe normal everyday people are tired of being brow beat by wealthy, useless twats, and yet NONE of these people seem concerned about your right to speech, or even have an opinion. I didn't see labron james speak out when a dude lost his entire career for speaking up about the atmosphere at his work place (google). Maybe that's why the country is so divided. Maybe the masses are starting to wake up to the hypocritical bullshite.

Trump is going to win again in 2020. They're campaigning for him and don't realize it.

The more progressives push identity politics, the more votes Trump will gain for 2020. Had they just stuck to the issues and not tried to pretend everyone that disagreed with them hates blacks, gays, women, etc. we'd probably have our first woman president.

The divide is definitely taken shape. There are liberals who disrespect out country by taking a knee during our national anthem and then there are Americans who are sick and tired of their sh*t. Pretty clear divide.

You should probably check out the polls. Maybe it surprises you, but I expected most of the nation to see protesting *DURING* our national anthem as disgusting.

Smart plan. They don't have nearly the readership that they used to. Can their sales actually go negative?

Until they lose so much revenue they can't operate. NFL already down 200 million viewers with this garbage. frick the NFL and the sports world if they disrespect this country.

Funny thing is....there's no "color" to the people. Isn't that the master argument to all the protests?
user avatar

Should we ever see color? That's the point.

I wish they'd bring back the issue of the gays over this shite. Seemed less hostile.
