Yeah I know it can get annoying with people who are always complaining about this and that when they are the ones that mess up. Well ive used cobblestone anytime i build a portal as a safe house for it and the blast from the ghast cannot break it down so anything along the lines of that should be safe. pretty sure dirt will break as will gravel but not 100% sure...

You can always log your coordinates by pressing f3 and writing them down. This way if u happen to die and lose your place you will have the coordinates to get back to it again with little pain....
