He already has an interest in coaching. He spent training camp/preseason this year with the Buffalo Bills as an OL coach via the Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship....

re: Dalton Hilliard burst onto the national scene in Gainesville on this date in '82 - cgallent
Loved the '82 team - The Dalton-James gang, Lance Smith, "ET phone home" Martin, James Britt, Jeffrey Dale, Liffort Hobley, Eugene Daniel, Shawn Burks, Leonard Marshall, Rydell Melancon, Clay Parker & Juan Betanzos. Great memories from that football season - especially the Florida State game....

re: Has anyone been to Leipers Fork TN. ? - cgallent
I've been in the Nashville area since '93 and Franklin since '05. We absolutely love it here. You never know who you'll run into at the grocery store. The public schools here test better than the private schools in Nashville. Great music. Really friendly people. And, lots of ex-Louisianans....

re: Ponamsky on 104.5 re: today's practice - cgallent
On a side note...any reports of the scout team working the defense like we did before playing Oregon a few years ago? Two offensive units running one right after the next. I've never seen our D in better shape/prepared for a first game and how it carried through for the season....

re: Best LSU Home Run Moment You Ever Watched Live - cgallent
I've posted this before, but the BOMB that Joey (Albert) Belle hit against Tulane in the NCAA Regionals landed on the southbound lane of Nicholson about 30 feet behind my car.
I was at that game. Joey KILLED that one. Also, Craig Faulkner at Florida in '83 or '84 hit one over the...

re: Has the OT ever been to Atlantis in the Bahamas? - cgallent
I can't recommend this enough - go on a Windstar cruise - they're huge sailboats. Only 200 passengers max, 100 staff, impeccable service & food, no kids allowed. You get to go to ports that the big cruise ships can't go. Usually the best deal on their rates are through Costco. The best part is you g...

re: What's your ideal city to work and raise a family? - cgallent
+1 on the Nashville area...specifically Williamson county right outside to the South (Murfreesboro is great, too). It reminds me of the great parts of growing up in Baton Rouge in the 70's & 80's with none of the bad. Friendly people from all over - and lots of ex-pat Louisianans. Very kid/family fr...

re: Those of you who were born and raised in Baton Rouge and left... do you miss it? - cgallent
+1 on Nashville Grew up in BR and moved to Nashville 20 yrs ago. It reminds me a lot of the good things I remember living in BR - with none of the bad. I don't have to send my kids to private schools. There's relatively low crime. Lots of ex-Louisianans here. Great restaurants & tons of music....

re: OT Advise on guitar amps - cgallent
I would recommend finding something used. See if you can find a Peavey Classic 30 or something from the Fender Hot Rod series. But, definitely a combo amp with a 12" speaker, tubes and at least 30 watts of power....

re: Do you consider Steve Vai to be talented as a musician? - cgallent
This is one of those questions guitar players throw around all the time - there's no right or wrong. The answer is usually based on what you like and/or what you play (if you're a player). Vai is an amazing player, but not my thing. On the EVH vs. Vai issue, I put Eddie ahead of Steve. Eddie was an ...
Third, say what you want about JJ vs JL, but with JJ at the helm it seems the offense is always in disarray, scrambling to get the ball snapped prior to a delay of game, and actually getting false starts and delay of game penalties.
I haven't been a big fan of JJ. But, to quote Da...

re: Advice on Nashville for New Years Eve - cgallent
I live right outside of Nashville...love it here. Reminds me of living in BTR when I was a kid - the good stuff with none of the bad. Anyway, you'll be right in the heart of everything down near Broadway and 2nd Ave. It really depends on what you like, music-wise. You'll hear everything, not just...
