The only thing mentioned was "impermissible contact" by the UM booster.

Neither do I, sounds like more of an issue with what Nevin Shapiro did, than what Charles did. He just went on what he thought was a visit, didn't accept any benefits. Now if he went to Miami, then it would have been a problem...

The NCAA is a reactive body,
The Columbus paper reported this issue, Georgia looked into it, and sent it to the SEC/NCAA
The NCAA ONLY looked into this because the Columbus paper wrote about it.
If the Columbus paper didn't get the police documents, then this wouldn't have become public kn...

If they think it would be better for college football, then they have the power to do that already for their team. It's simple, just redshirt the entire freshman class.
