I've never had much luck fishing St. John during the day. If there is the slightest bit of wind it will be white capping. I've been using the 100gr 1 1/2" cut for years and love them. Just make sure they are set right so that they will open properly. I've heard people who say theirs never fully expanded. I've never had that problem. Oh and keep them oiled if they are old. ...
