Assuming one of the factors is their new pricing structure that went into effect around the start of the year. Lowered prices across the board to compete with online and got rid of the gold card....

You basically have a one month lag. If you spend 1,500 during November and on November 30th your statement balance is 1,500, you would owe that 1,500 on December 30 (or whenever your next minimum payment date is). I think what Flask is getting to is that appreciation is appreciation. If a stock jumps 40% after the IPO it doesn't matter if it was $10 or $50 per share, you still made 40%....
